Anti-attention seeking stamp by Kairi96-Z Anti-attention seeking stamp by Kairi96-Z

Uhm, yus. A stamp like many others you can find here on dA. Attention whores are really hateful to me. And they're also the reason why I sometimes feel ashamed of my own generation. They're those wannabe kids you can see around pretending to have a mental disorder and acting really stupid, or telling everyone they're crazy. Or else, they're those that pretend to be bi/gay. Really... Just because Lady Gaga and other famous people claimed to be bi? Or just because there are rumors around of Einstein/Netwon/other famous people of having Asperger's? Or just because there are rumors of Van Gogh being bipolar/schitzo? Some people can be really idiots. If they really had a mental disorder, they wouldn't be so happy of telling everyone about it. If they really were gay/bi, they wouldn't bother people saying it all the time.

Not to mention those people who post "I m sed" or "I'm quitting DeviantArt" journal entries.

When there's just a normal journal entry, there's hardly any comments at all.

But man, when those depression or sadness type journal entries show, ho ho ho man you won't imagine how many comments will appear.

I'm always like "Jesus just shut the hell up. If you're sad, go talk to someone or do something to relieve yourself. Posting about how sad you are is not going to help a thing."

YOu know, some people say they have disorders because they accept it. Because they admit it. Because admit it keep them going. Because they don't see why they should be ashamed of it or hiding it because of fear that people will think they want attention. Because they feel like people should be informed about it. Why would I think that? Because I was diagnosticated with disorders by Professional. And I don't get why I should hide it incase something happen.

while theres a problem with doing it so that you're popular/getting attention (aside from the case of histrionic personality disorder), there's not a problem with learning about who you are as a person ESPECIALLY when you're a teen. Labeling yourself as gay or bi or trans or whatever when you're a teen because that's how you feel you are is fine! Realizing later on that you aren't any of those things is fine too!

Though Van gogh probably was bipolar, but that's just my opinion

I have Autism too I didn't want to accept it at first, but it made me a better person today :) I didn't do bad stuff as a kid that some of the 'normal' kids did. I hate using that word, but that's what people say a lot.

As of today I learned a lot and I continue to grow. I may not have a perfect life, but I have a family that loves me. That's good enough for me.

Man, people who pretend to be gay for attention make we real gays/bis look horrible.

Actually the reason that I'm proud to have Autism is because I hate when people think I'm a disease or tragedy or that I need to be cured.

There's nothing wrong with having pride as long as you don't use it against other people in a supreme way or as a crutch and I don't think there's anything wrong with self advocacy neither when organizations like 'Autism Speaks's is making crap loads of money off of you because you are born differently and need to be cured...

I have Asperger's Syndrome and I am not ashamed of having a little pride in a world where people want me to feel less human for having Autism! :P

I wish people would not use depression or other mental disorders as a fad.  Where I work, that is serious business and I would not wish that on worst enemy. Also, why pretend to be gay or bi?  That defeats the purpose of gay rights in a sense.  People need to learn to be themselves and not give in to peer pressure to "fit in."
